RVF Dispatch is used by most fire departments across the Province to contact Fire/EMS dispatch (Medacom Atlantic). The PEIFFA's body removal services known as "Charlie" units also use this talkgroup when responding to a scene. They transport bodies from a scene to the coroner's office. "Charlie 1" out of Charlottetown covers Central/Eastern PEI and "Charlie 2" out of Summerside covers Western PEI.
Summerside and Charlottetown Fire Departments are not dispatched by Medacom so they rarely use the trunked radio system but do have trunked radios should the need arise. Fire Departments that operate on the system (categories listed further below) use their own respective channels to communicate with dispatch.
