As of Feb 1,2012 all public safety in Okeechobee County is operating on the SLERS system, included are the following agencies: Okeechobee County Sheriffs Office, Okeechobee County Fire Rescue, Okeechobee Utility Authority City of Okeechobee Police Department, and the City of Okeechobee Fire Department. At this time the VHF system is still being used for station paging however is in the process of being taken down and paging being replaced with VOIP.
