The Black Mesa and Lake Powell Railroad is a 78 mile electrified railroad to transport coal from the Peabody Energy Kayenta Coal Mine near Kayenta to the Navajo Generating Station power plant at Page. Milepost 0 is at the NGS Power Plant at Page and the coal train makes three round trips a day. It does not connect with any other railroad. In 2020 the railroad shut down but some operations continue to shutdown and dismantle the operations.
