Many federal agencies use multiple repeater sites with the same output PL or NAC for a given area. Most of these sites are reported to use no PL tone (CSQ) at these sites. Unless a site as a specific output PL or NAC, only one listing will be shown for the agency/office/geographical location. Locations that may use one frequency but many PL tones may be listed as CSQ to prevent unnecessary scanner activity or for database convenience. The USFS also tends to use CSQ output but does maintain a PL input, so thus some agencies may have many more repeater sites than seen in the database. As this is transparent to the scanner user, only sites with output PL's will be listed

Cibola National Forest

Pecos National Historic Park

The Very Large Array (VLA), one of the world's premier astronomical radio observatories, consists of 27 radio antennas in a Y-shaped configuration on the Plains of San Agustin 80 km (50 miles) miles west of Socorro, New Mexico. Each antenna is 25 meters (82 feet) in diameter. The data from the antennas is combined electronically to give the resolution of an antenna 36km (22 miles) across, with the sensitivity of a dish 130 meters (426.5 feet) in diameter.

McGregor Range
